The 3" × 4" U-shaped design provides a broad bearing surface and accommodates bolts, anchors, and fasteners up to 7/8", while the familiar non-interlocking design is ideal for installers who prefer a traditional horseshoe shim.

    3″ × 4″ TRADITIONAL HORSESHOE SHIMS

    Glazelock 3″ × 4″ Traditional Horseshoe Shims provide a large, stable footprint for leveling, spacing and alignment in window and door installation, glazing, storefronts, and other construction applications.

    The U-shaped profile accommodates bolts, anchors, and other fasteners up to 7/8″, allowing the shim to be positioned around installed hardware without removing the fastener. Multiple shims can be stacked to achieve the required spacing, while the broad 3″ × 4″ footprint provides additional bearing area where a larger shim is preferred.

    Made from durable high-impact polystyrene, these plastic shims will not rot, shrink, or swell like wood. Their smooth, non-interlocking design provides the familiar horseshoe-shim configuration preferred by installers who use traditional shims.

    For applications where keeping stacked shims connected during installation is useful, Glazelock also offers 3″ × 4″ Interlocking Horseshoe Shims, which snap together without tape or glue.
